• Addressing demographic according to research:

• Men are 40% more likely to purchase kits than their female counterparts across all generations

• Millennials and Generation X consumers are 321% more likely to purchase meal kits than older generations.

• Addressing Packaging Waste:

A major concern for most Millennials and Generation X consumers.

Fact; there’s still an awful lot of plastic shipped within their meal kits. While meal kits are big business, racking up more than $5 billion in sales, that means there’s an awful lot of single-use plastic being shipped out as well. 91% of all plastics will never be recycled.

300 million tons of plastic are produced every year, and 50% of that is intended for single-use and is 100% un-recyclable. It’s another plastic water bottle that will inevitably find its way into the ocean or a landfill.
